Happy 2024!!!. Shortly after completing the Trailblaze Challenge in 2023, I was committed to doing the hike again and to the organization of Make-A-Wish. Why? Because of Make-A-Wish and their work, they bring wishes to kids who need strength, hope, and distraction to help them heal when diagnosed with a critical illness.
In early 2023, my friend's nephew received a wish. He wanted to visit with his sister, so Make-A-Wish flew her home. His wish was granted, and he got to spend quality time with his sister.
Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Each of these children deserves a wish to give them and their families a reprieve from the daily challenges of doctor visits, lab tests, surgery, hospitalization, and sometimes chemotherapy.
