Woohoo! I completed two big hikes with Trailblaze Challenge in 2022. For 2023 I decided to do some hiking on my own to spend some extra time with flowers. This year I am back and super excited to take on Trailblaze Challenge 2024. In addition to the physical challenge, I have committed myself to raising the critical funds necessary for Make-A-Wish to grant the one true wish for each eligible child with a critical illness. With your help, it’s very possible.
Make-A-Wish grants a lot of wishes, more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids. Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal. Just over 30 years ago my big brother Keith was a wish kid, we were a wish family. Thanks to Make-A-Wish we got to make a few precious extra memories together. That is just one of the reasons that I'm fundraising, so that more deserving kids and their families can know the true happiness, relief, and renewal a wish can bring.
