YEAR 6!
I couldn't be more excited to lace up my hikers and take on the Trailblaze challenge for the sixth time. This year my son, Taj, will be once again leaving me in the dust :) He greeted me with a congratulations sign, a big smile and a "we love you dad" sign in my first Trailblaze and now he's going for his second 26.3 mile lap, I love this journey.
Speaking of journeys, I have been honored to serve on the board of the Oregon Chapter of Make a Wish for 8 years now and Trailblaze is my favorite day of the year. I personally have met so many wish familes during this time and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the power of a wish has an immense impact on these brave kids and their families as they go through their unimaginably difficult journeys.
Taj and I are committed to raising $5,000 this year to help Make-A-Wish grant the one true wish for each eligible child with a critical illness. With your help, it’s possible.
