The best views come after the hardest climb.
I am thrilled to take on this year’s Trailblaze Challenge in honor of my son, Glenn. In addition to the physical challenge, I have committed myself to raising the essential funds necessary for Make-A-Wish to help grant the wishes of children like Glenn, who face critical illnesses. With your help, we can prove that hope and joy are possible during difficult or uncertain times.
Glenn’s Story
When Glenn was two years old, he was diagnosed with liver cancer. After undergoing multiple rounds of treatment and a major surgery to remove most of his liver, the cancer overtook what remained of his liver, and an organ transplant became his only option. Just after he turned three, Glenn received his Gift of Life from a deceased donor. This year, he celebrated his second ‘liverversary’! The Trailblaze Challenge is also a way for me to honor the life of Glenn’s donor, as well as raise awareness for organ, eye, and tissue donation.
Wish kids are some of the most resilient and sweetest kids you'll ever know. And if you have met Glenn, you know that is absolutely true. Wish kids often must grow up faster than they should have to. Wishes help to allow kids be just that- KIDS! Glenn’s wish is currently in the works, and I can’t wait to see his vision fully realized!
The Mission
Make-A-Wish grants thousands of unique wishes each year. A lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of eligible kids, and now more than ever every child needs something positive to look forward to. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families may know the true happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
Please help me support this impactful mission by joining us on the trail or helping us hit our Trailblaze Challenge fundraising goal. Thank you for your support!
