A full day hike in the scenic Catoctin Mountains, guided by Austere Medical Professionals. There are two options for your trek – a full trek at 26.6 miles or a half trek at 16 miles.

Our training program ensures hikers of all fitness and experience levels will be prepared for the Trailblaze Challenge come May. We host specialized group training hikes, offer fundraising advice and encouragement, and have support standing by, with Austere Medical Professionals, to keep you safe and healthy.

Your journey, your challenge. Whether you are a wish granting volunteer, a corporate team, or a trail runner, our goal is to bring together a community of supporters to grant wishes to local children battling critical illnesses in the Mid-Atlantic region. We require that you fundraise a minimum ($2,500 for a full trek, or $1,500 for a half trek) to participate in the Trailblaze Challenge to help Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic grant more wishes. We have the tips and tools to help you succeed!

To begin your journey, you’ll need to sign up to attend an information session. These meetings are designed to inform you about the mission of Make-A-Wish and describe in-detail about the weekend-long hike event. Click Register above to RSVP for an information session.

If you have already attended an information session and would like to register, please fax or email your registration form with a non-refundable $100 registration fee to Sara Mond at smond@midatlantic.wish.org, or mail to our Bethesda office.

*All alumni hikers are encouraged to attend information sessions but will receive a waived registration fee.

*Your registration fee will go toward your fundraising minimum
