I am excited to take on this year’s Trailblaze Challenge; In addition to the physical challenge, I have committed myself to raising the critical funds necessary for Make-A-Wish to grant the one true wish for each eligible child with a critical illness.
Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That is an astounding number, yet that’s only 50% of the eligible kids. Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them regain hope. I’m fundraising for the deserving kids and their families to know the true happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
For those of you who may not know me personally, my name is Lily Boothe, and my identical twin sister Chloe was granted a Wish through Make A Wish Michigan in 2018. The experience MAW gave not only Chloe, but our entire family, was a relief like no other. With frequent hospital visits, doctors appointments, and treatments it can be difficult to stay positive and hopeful. But make a wish gives back the sense of hope and rejoice that alleviates the stress of critical illness. Our hope as a family is to give back to the program that gave us so much, so that other families can know the love we felt, and continuously feel from MAW. Our team, Chloe’s Crusaders, has a mission to pay it forward to continue the work of this amazing program through this fundraiser.
This will be my fathers and my 5th year taking on the trail-blaze challenge and walking the 22 miles for wishes. The blisters and foot aches are none in comparison to what these children go through on a daily basis, with this fundraiser we can provide the necessary funds to make these wishes come true!
These essential wishes are only possible because of supporters like you. Together, we are transforming lives- One wish at a time!
Will you help me support Make-A-Wish by donating today?
