I’m excited to announce that this September, I’m taking on Maine’s Make-A-Wish Trailblazer Challenge — a 23.4-mile hike in Carrabassett Valley to help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. I’ll be hiking alongside my amazing coworkers from Maine Medical Center’s surgical ICU, and this cause is deeply personal to me.
My best friend, Evan, was gifted a Make-A-Wish trip on a catamaran in the Virgin Islands when he was younger. He always spoke about how special it was—how it gave him a break from his cancer diagnosis and allowed him to just enjoy life. Evan passed away in 2017 at the age of 21, but his wish left a lasting impact.
I want to help give more kids experiences like Evan’s. Every donation, big or small, brings a child closer to a moment of joy and escape. If you’d like to support this cause, please consider donating. Together, we can make more wishes come true!
