I am excited to take on this year’s Trailblaze Challenge for the state of VIRGINIA- 18 MILES in ONE day. This will not be easy but it’s for the these amazing kids who truly deserve the their wishes to be granted. On average, it takes about $10,000 to grant one wish so every little amount helps to get one step closer.
My Trailblaze journey began in 2019 in the state of Alabama wondering if I could not only fundraise the minimum but also hike the distance. I successfully tackled both because of some awesome family and friends. Thus beginning my Trailblaze journey as it is a desire to try and fundraise to get closer to granting a wish to any child who has met the criteria in the US.
This will be my 6th year with the Make-A-Wish Trailblaze program (first time supporting the Greater VA chapter) and am honored to be able to be apart of this trailblaze family. God has given me the ability to put one foot in front of the other to hike and fundraise for these wish kids waiting for their wish to be granted with YOUR help!!! Hope that you will be able to support me in this journey as we try to grant one wish at a time for these special wish kiddos and their families because I cannot do it alone. It takes a village and you are my village.

Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids. Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the true happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
