I am excited to take on this year's Trailblaze Challenge. In addition to the physical challenge of hiking 22 miles of the Bartram trail in Clayton, GA, I have committed myself to raising funds and support to grant a wish for children with critical illnesses.
Make-A-Wish has granted more than 550,000 wishes around the world. While that seems like a lot—right now, for every wish that comes true, two more children with critical illnesses are waiting for theirs to be granted (because Make-A-Wish lacks the necessary funding). I’m fundraising for Make-A-Wish so that more kids (and their families) can know the life-changing joy, strength and hope that a wish experience can bring. So often when children FEEL better, they actually GET better!
