I am excited to take on this year's Trailblaze Challenge as a member of the Sirius Wishes Team (Captained by Gainesville native, Sally Reynolds). Sally and her awesome Lab, Remi, are Veteran Trailblaze Challenge Participants. Remi is the only dog allowed to participate in the challenge as she is very inspirational, making the 22 miles on just three legs. Sally's team name is in honor of Remi - Sirius, also known as the Dog Star, α Canis Majoris (Alpha Canis Majoris), or Canicula, is the brightest star in the night sky. It lies at a distance of 8.60 light years (2.64 parsecs) from Earth, in the constellation Canis Major, the Greater Dog.
In addition to the physical challenge, I have committed myself to raising the critical funds necessary for Make-A-Wish to grant the one true wish for each eligible child with a critical illness. With your help, it's possible.
Did you know that Make-A-Wish has granted more than 550,000 wishes around the world? That’s a lot, yes. But right now, for every wish that comes true, two more children with critical illnesses are waiting for theirs to be granted because Make-A-Wish lacks the necessary funding. I’m fundraising for Make-A-Wish so more deserving kids and their families can know the life-changing joy, renewal, strength and hope that a wish can bring.
Life-changing wishes are only possible because of supporters like YOU. A wish can truly transform a child's life, and we have the power to grant it. Please, donate now!
