I am excited to take on this year’s Trailblaze Challenge! This is an adventure of a day where I will hike from Hanging Rock to Pilot Mountain - which is about 27.4 miles! Yes, I know you are doing the math in your heads...wow, that's a lot of miles, how long does that take? It could take anywhere between 8-10 hours! So let's get ready to rumble!!
In order to participate, each "Trailblazer" must raise $2,500, with that money going to cover the expenses of my hike and the rest will directly benefit Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina! Make-A-Wish helps spread a little joy and hope to children with critical illnesses. Who wouldn't want to spread a little joy?!

Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids. Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the true happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
