When I learned about the Make-A-Wish Trailblaze Challenge in 2019, a hiking endurance event for an incredible cause, I knew I had to participate. Having successfully completed the challenge in 2019 and 2021, I returned as a volunteer in 2022. And I’ve once again accepted the challenge, in 2024.
The Challenge – Hike 26.2 miles, a full marathon distance, in one day. The scenic trek provides participants an opportunity for adventure, fun and fitness while making a direct impact on the lives of children in our community battling critical illnesses.
Make-A-Wish is a nonprofit organization who aims to bring people together to build community around families who are faced with the harsh realities of critical illnesses. By supporting me with a donation, you are contributing to their mission of creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, and paving the way for a brighter tomorrow for children right here in your community.
To date, Make-A-Wish has granted more than 550,000 wishes around the world. That’s a lot, but right now, for every wish that comes true, two more children with critical illnesses are waiting for theirs to be granted because of a lack of necessary funding. I’m fundraising for Make-A-Wish so that more deserving kids and their families can know the life-changing joy, renewal, strength and hope that a wish can bring.
Life-changing wishes are only possible because of supporters like us. A wish can truly transform a child's life, and we have the power to grant it. Please, donate now!
Thank you, Meg
