The Mayo Clovers

The Mayo Clovers, comprised of Aine and Melissa, epitomize the spirit of resilience, unity, and compassion as they embark on a transformative journey to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Originating from County Mayo on the picturesque west coast of Ireland, the name 'The Mayo Clovers' pays homage to their roots and the profound symbolism of the clover in Irish culture.

Rooted in the teachings of Saint Patrick, who used the shamrock to illustrate the Holy Trinity, the clover holds deep significance for Aine and Melissa. It symbolizes faith, hope, and love—the very essence of their mission to bring joy and fulfillment to children facing critical illnesses.

Walking 28 miles in a single day, Aine and Melissa's dedication is as unwavering as the cliffs that line the rugged coast of County Mayo. Their journey represents more than a physical feat; it's a testament to the power of empathy and collective action.

As they traverse each mile, the Mayo Clovers weave a tapestry of kindness and solidarity, inspiring others to believe in the transformative impact of generosity and goodwill. Their footsteps echo the resilience of the Irish spirit and the boundless potential of human compassion.

Through their selfless act of walking, Aine and Melissa embody the timeless values of community and altruism, igniting a beacon of hope that shines brightly for children and families in their time of need. The Mayo Clovers stand as a testament to the enduring legacy of Saint Patrick and the enduring power of the human heart

Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids.  Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal.  I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the true happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.

These essential wishes are only possible because of supporters like you. Together, we are transforming lives- One wish at a time!
