Team Julia
We are thrilled to take on this year’s Trailblaze Challenge. In addition to the physical challenge, we have committed ourselves to raising the essential funds necessary for Make-A-Wish to help grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. With your help, providing hope and joy during these uncertain times is possible.
Our team has committed to raising money this year in honor of Julia Shaye. Julia was a wish kid in 2013. She was granted a very generous trip to Hawaii to visit an active volcano and swim with dolphins. She was diagnosed in August of 2012 with a terminal brain tumor and gained her angel wings in October of 2013. Make-A-Wish fulfilled this sweet girl's dreams by sending her to a beautiful resort, booking a tour of Kilauea, and giving her the opportunity to swim with dolphins! We would love to give the opportunity for other children in similar situations to have their dreams fulfilled.
Wish kids are some of the most resilient and sweetest children you will ever know. The one true vision of a wish may vary from trip to a pickle factory, become a superhero, give their baseball team new uniforms, and push all of the buttons in a tall building's elevator. Their innocence and unexpected wisdom stays with you.
Make-A-Wish grants thousands of unique wishes each year. A lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of eligible kids, and now more than ever, every child needs something positive to look forward to. We’re fundraising so more deserving kids and their families may know the true happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
Please help us support this impactful mission by joining us on the trail or helping us hit our Trailblaze Challenge fundraising goal. Thank you for your support!
*Gifts made through this fundraising campaign are a gift to the entire Make-A-Wish mission. The needs shown are symbolic of the common wish elements associated with each wish and are only representative of our many wish-granting activities. Gifts made will not actually be used to purchase the item or grant the wish described. All gifts will be pooled to meet the needs of Make-A-Wish.
