Live Life To The Max
On July 10, 2022 our family car carrying myself, my husband Corey and our two boys, Max and Griffin was struck by a wreckless driver, taking the life of our seven year old son, Max and leaving Corey critically injured. Grief, fighting for life and grasping for hope and normalcy reaches to the depths of every part of your being, changing your goals, shifting priorities, challenging relationships and beliefs, providing new perspectives and transforming you. You find yourself asking, “what do I do with this new knowledge, this pain, this new me, these new ideas? What is the purpose of the road I am traveling?” I don't pretend to know the purpose of tragedy, heartbreak, grim diagnosis or painful and debilitating battles with illness. But at the base of it, in the pit of despair, I have found there is always a glimmer of light and every time, it comes from love. From someone being the hands and feet of Christ and loving others through the giving of their gifts, resources, knowledge and presence; providing hope that allows someone to rise and put one foot in front of the other. Our family has been immeasurably blessed by a loving community that showed up. Team Live Life to the Max wants to be that community for other families and children; walking to provide hope and that glimmer of light through the love of God.
On May 20, 2023 team Live Life To The Max will hike 28.3 miles along the Foothills Trail for Make a Wish Foundation in hopes of bringing joy to children and families enduring unimaginable battles. Our team is asking you to support our fundraising efforts, allowing children and families to Life Life to the Max by granting a single wish.
Be the hands and feet, be the giver of adventure, family memories, laughter and smiles. Be hope. Be love.
Give directly to Make a Wish using the contribution tab listed on this page or purchase a ticket and join us on Sunday April 23rd for hotdogs, live music and an exciting game of kickball in honor of Max's birthday. Thank you for your love, support and prayers,
