Pimp My Stride
Logan and I are signed up to do this crazy hike again this year! First, we want to thank everyone so much for all of the support we have received from you in the past. We have been actively participating in this challenge since Spring 2016, and even when we aren't hiking, we are all-in helping out. Make-a-Wish is such an amazing organization, and few people know that each chapter is focused on granting wishes to children within that specific area.
These kids are absolutely incredible, too. They have the wildest imaginations, the biggest dreams, and the absolute best wishes. They wish to go on shopping sprees, meet Jeff Bezos, take their family to Disney World, have a greenhouse, be a superhero, and anything else they can dream up while they're battling a life threatening illness.
Good news though, is that you can help out with this. Logan and I will do the heavy lifting - in May 2020, we are hiking 28.3 miles in a single day to raise money and awareness for these amazing kiddos. All you have to do is kick in some funds to help us out!
Did you know that the average cost of a single wish is $6,000? Did you also know that if you can donate $10, that feeds a family member who is on a wish trip? What about if you donate $20, and you provide a souvenir for a Wish kid who is heading home from their trip? Or, if you donate $30, which is maybe a tank of gas to get from Point A to Point B to make sure that wish gets granted? Literally any amount can help, and you can be a part of the granting of a wish for an incredible child in Central & Western NC.
Logan and I love to talk about our involvement with Make-a-Wish, and we really love to share our trail stories from past hikes. If you have any questions - we are happy to answer them! If you are unable to donate today, that is totally okay! Thank you for reading up about this cause, and for consideration in the future of making a contribution. We believe whole-heartedly in this cause and we truly appreciate your ongoing support.
