Hey everyone, thanks for checking out my personal site for the Make-A-Wish Trailblaze Challenge. I'm excited and somewhat nervous about the coming months of training, fundraising and then of course the final hike in May. It's a little out of my comfort zone as this is something I’ve never done before but I’m looking forward to the sense of accomplishment once I’ve completed it. I do, however, feel great about the fact that this challenge will not only help me grow as an individual, but will also help others. Knowing that I am doing something that will positively impact children’s lives is a powerful motivator. Whether it’s a donation, a share on social media or just a “You got this!!” word of encouragement, any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids.  Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal.  I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the true happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
