I am hiking the one day, 28.3 mile Trailblazer Challenge for Make-a-Wish this year in honor of my son, Joshua, who is currently battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Josh is already working with Make-a-Wish to grant his wish of meeting a NASA engineer. So I am hiking to give back in order to help the Make-a-Wish foundation be able to grant more wishes to more kids that are fighting life threatening medical conditions. Every donation is helpful and appreciated. I can tell you personally that knowing that Josh is going to have a Make-wish trip gives us all something to look forward to when he (or we) are having the more difficult days during his treatment. There is so much to be said about the mental toll that his treatment takes on him and the whole family, and Make-a-Wish helps to provide a “light at the end of the tunnel!l
