28.3 Miles Completed!
Williams Wish Warriors
Hudson & I successfully finished hiking 28.3 miles. We finished in 8 hrs and 22 min which was faster than our last year’s time by 1 hr and 21 mins. It is always difficult and the last 6 miles is all about physical & mental grit. Our legs were sore and we had some blisters BUT these will soon resolve.
We had the opportunity both before and after the hike to hear from parents the massive impact having the wish of their critically ill child made. Many tears were shed as they shared how special their kiddo felt and how for that time their family felt normal. For some it was the last vacation they were able to have together.
Hudson & I are honored to have been able to be part of this again this year.
We physically crossed the finish line but have not yet met our funding goal. They have extended our timeframe till early August.
