The best views come after the hardest climb for this Wish family.
Hi everyone, I am Nick Tony and my Dad is Vince. I am a Wish Kid myself. I made my wish, and got to go on the most AWESOME shopping spree a couple of years ago. Now, with the help of my Dad, I want to help raise money, so other kids like me, that deal with a critical illness, can get the opportunity to feel the joy and happiness that Make-A-Wish brought to my life. With your help, it’s possible.
I was referred to Make-A-Wish because I have Cystic Fibrosis. It is a genetic disease that affects my lungs, liver, and pancreas. I currently take 180 pills each week to survive and thrive. I also have to do multiple breathing treatments and chest therapies every day, and I have to get a shot weekly to help me grow. So far, I've had 10 sinus surgeries, and I just spent a week in the hospital this past Halloween for a lung infection. My life isn't easy, but it could be so much worse.
The Make-A-Wish foundation has continued to be a part of my, and my family's, life even after my wish has been granted because they never stop caring. MAW keeps giving me the opportunity to volunteer, so I can give back to help others.
My Dad and I have accepted the challenge to push ourselves both physically and socially harder than we have ever before. We can't wait to meet new people on our fundraising and training journey!
You CAN help too! You CAN make a difference in the lives of a child with a critical illness like mine. WILL you help me support Make-A-Wish by donating today?
*Gifts made through this fundraising campaign are a gift to the entire Make-A-Wish mission. The needs shown are symbolic of the common wish elements associated with each wish and are only representative of our many wish-granting activities. Gifts made will not actually be used to purchase the item or grant the wish described. All gifts will be pooled to meet the needs of Make-A-Wish.
