Last year, I accepted the Trailblazer challenge for the first time and while it may sound dramatic, I can honestly tell you it changed my life. I was profoundly touched after meeting Wish kids and their families; hearing their stories of how granted wishes gave a pause to their challenges and allowed them to feel "normal" again. They were easily able to laugh and connect with family and friends, something that a healthy person like myself often takes for granted. I learned about the extent at which Make A Wish goes to give these kids and families a carefree moment that becomes a permanent memory in everyone's hearts. And that "everyone" includes YOU!
Granted wishes have a ripple effect from the Wish granters to generous donators and everyone in between. We are all affected by their joy. Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Each one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal.
So, this year, I am hiking again for them. I am raising money for them. I want to help grant as many wishes as possible, but cannot do this alone. It takes a village, which is why I am asking for your support. Together, we are transforming lives- One wish at a time!
Will you help me support Make-A-Wish by donating today?
