The opportunity to hike on behalf of children and families who face tough challenges every single day is humbling and an incredible honor.
This year will be my third attempt to complete 26.3 miles in one day. While I have previously fallen short on the miles (not by much, I made it 24.5 last year), I have surpassed my fundraising goal the last two years thanks to the kindest and most generous family and friends.
I am especially proud of Team Happy Feet. Our team was formed in 2021 and to date has raised over $63,500.00! We also added a junior team this year and they are the cutest! Team Tiny Feet is doing BIG things!
Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year. That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids. Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the true happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
