I have been a long-term supporter of Make-A-Wish through their Trailblaze Challenge. Make-A-Wish offers an amazing service to children dealing with critical illnesses and their families. In my years of involvement, I have been blessed to help grant wishes and to talk with many wish parents. The impact of a wish (while planning and when granted) offers excitement which can benefit treatments and joy when it may be in low supply.
My surgically repaired knee is not responding to the hiking as the Trailblaze Challenge requires (hikes in ever-increasing lengths from 5 miles up to 26.3 in May and 28.3 in June). So, I will not be hiking for Make-A-Wish this year. Hiking or not, I must still help grant wishes when I know the difference wishes make. I ask for your help.
This year, instead of being credited to my account, your donation will help other brave and hard-working hikers that each have a $5000 goal to participate. Most will reach their goal. A few will not. All are working so hard hiking for hours every Saturday and many weeknights from Feb - June of this year. Your donation will help them just as it has done for me in the past. As always, all donations will help children no matter who gets the credit.
