Am I crazy for setting out to hike 26.3 miles in ONE DAY!? Absolutely! But the "why" behind it is that I am crazy passionate about the mission of Make-A-Wish and have pledged myself to seeing more wishes granted! It's a tough goal to reach for sure, but well worth it to grant another wish or two for the 250 Wish Kids in Alabama that are battling life threatenting medical conditions!
Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. They wish to be a princess like Kushi, go to Disney World with their family like Luke, meet John Cena like Isaac, or play on the field with the Denver Broncos like Bryce. Their innocence and unexpected wisdom stays with you. Seeing these wishes fulfilled, you also realize the impact it has on not just the Wish Kids but their familes, friends, and communities as well.
Make-A-Wish grants thousands of unique wishes each year. A lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of eligible kids. I’m doing this fundraiser so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
