Aid One 2023
I am back for a second year and this time I'm thrilled to be joining in the (type II) fun that is 26.3 miles in the Pinhoti. In addition to supporting other fundraisers (hikers) in their journey as Hike Support Team Member, I want to show my love to all the kids waiting on wishes. I have the privilege to CHOOSE to do this challenge. The kids who are supported by your donations don't get that luxury.
So thanks for getting this far: that means you're one step closer to making a donation that will support these incredible kids who are living with critical illnesses; kids who can't choose what kind of "hard" they'll endure. Your choice shows me that you want to help these kids be KIDS!
A little background on Make-A-Wish: Nationwide, they grant more than 15k wishes a year, which is about half of the kids who are waiting for their moment. Wishes are life-changing for kids, families, and communities. Granting a wish can give back hope, alleviate stress, and has been proven to decrease treatment times and increase success rates. Funds raised through the Make-A-Wish Alabama Trailblaze Challenge will be used to fund local wishes, so you know that you are making a real impact on the young lives in your community.
