Let the hiking begin!!
I made my wish, and got to go on the most AWESOME shopping spree a couple of years ago. Now I want to help raise money, so other kids like me, that deal with a critical illness, can get the opportunity to feel the joy and happiness that Make-A-Wish brought to my life. With your help, it’s possible.
I was referred to Make-A-Wish because I have Cystic Fibrosis. It is a genetic disease that affects my lungs, liver, and pancreas. I currently take 180 pills each week to survive and thrive. I also have to do multiple breathing treatments and chest therapies every day, and I have to get a shot weekly to help me grow. I've had 10 sinus surgeries so far, and just spent a week in the hospital this past Halloween for a lung infection. My life isn't easy, but it could be so much worse.
The Make-A-Wish foundation has continued to be a part of my life even after my wish has been granted because they never stop caring. MAW keeps giving me the opportunity to volunteer, so I can give back to help others.
I have accepted the challenge to push myself both physically and socially harder than I have ever before. I can't wait to meet new people on my fundraising and training journey!
