Hi everyone, I want to take a moment to tell you how Make-A-Wish impacted my family in a positive way. My older sister Amanda was diagnosed with cancer at five years old and was granted a wish through Make-A-Wish Alabama. Throughout Amanda's journey, there were many times that I had to be away from my immediate family due to Amanda being in the hospital for treatment and side effects other various reason, as well as if I was sick myself. Although, Make-A-Wish granted my sister the wish, it positively impacted my entire family. Her wish to go to Disney World allowed our family to take a much-needed trip as a whole family and make life-long memories and share many laughs. We still talk about the memories we made on Amanda’s wish!
Any amount of money you donate will help Make-A-Wish Alabama continue to make wishes come true for kids right here in Alabama. I am excited to take on this year’s Trailblaze Challenge alongside my sister, Amanda. In addition to the physical challenge, I have committed myself to raising money for Make-A-Wish to help grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. With your help, it’s possible.
Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids. Every hour of every day, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
These life-changing wishes are only possible because of supporters like us. I know personally, that a wish experience can truly change a child’s life, and so can we.
Will you help me support Make-A-Wish by donating today?
