Jack has also signed up and will be hiking before his graduation from Auburn. We had an opportunity to form a team, but he thinks I'm too slow, I think. :)
In addition to the physical challenge, I have committed myself to raising the funds necessary for Make-A-Wish to grant one true wish for an eligible child with a critical illness. One wish costs $10,000 - so, that is what I am asking you to help me raise by my hike date of April 20, 2024.
To raise this money, we have called on our our friends and colleagues to help put together 2 great days of CLEs on March 15 and March 29. These fundraisers will be called "$50 Fridays!". You can pick a session for $50 or stay all day for $300 and receive 6.5 hours of CLE credit, have an enjoyable day and know that your tax deductible donation is supporting a wonderful cause. Both events will take place at The Venue at Oak Place (808 Maysville Road, NE, Huntsville, Alabama 35801). We've talked a lot over the past 3 years at the State Bar about wellness and becoming healthier lawyers in order to take better care of our clients. I'm starting to learn that there's something to it...so I hope that you'll join me next year and walk with me.
As you begin to Spring Clean, please know that America's Thrift Stores is a 2024 sponsor and will pay $0.25/lb. If you will bag your donations, we'll pick them up and take them to the donation center! Just shoot me a text to (256) 539-4441 or email me at robin@robinwolfelaw.com, please.
Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? It sounds like a lot - but that is only 50% of the eligible kids. Every hour of every day, on average, 3 children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal.
Please help me support Make-A-Wish by donating today!
