It's time to start gearing up for another Trailblaze Challenge!! 6 years!! This will be my 6th year to participate in the Make-A-Wish Trailblaze Challenge . I've had the most amazing experiences doing this challenge. I've met some of the most amazing people and have been given the opportunity to hike in some of the most beautiful places. All of this fun and it's for such a great cause. How could I not be excited about this challenge?!?!
In May, I’ll have another opportunity to complete a 26.3 mile hike on the Pinhoti Trail in the Talladega National Forest. In June, I will hike some more miles at a new 2.0 location. If you know me you know that I love hiking new trails so I’m very excited to hear about the new location. We will find out later where that secret location will be.
In addition to the physical challenge, I have committed myself to raising money for Make-A-Wish to help grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. This year I have set my goal to $10,000 and I would really appreciate your support in meeting this goal.
Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. They wish to work in a pickle factory, become a superhero, go snorkeling, give their baseball team new uniforms, and push all of the buttons in a tall building's elevator. Their innocence and unexpected wisdom stays with you.
Make-A-Wish grants thousands of unique wishes each year. A lot, yes. But that's only 50% of eligible kids. Alabama currently has around 275 children waiting for their wish to be granted. I'm fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
Please help me support this great cause by joining me on the trail or helping me hit my Trailblaze Challenge fundraising goal. Thank you for your support!
