I never understood the impact wish granting could have on a family. I never could put myself in the wish family's shoes.I donated money, I supported our events during convention- but I just "went with it."
Now, with two small children, just a fever can cause so much stress. I couldn't imagine and pray we never have to experience a critical illness. Families experiencing critical illnesses live a different life, one of constant worry, concern, doctors appointments.
The wish is intended to bring joy and hope during such a stressful time. It's intended to reinvigorate and support. It's intended to give the child and family a breath of fresh air and maybe a bit of normalcy.
