For the past several years, Millersville’s SAAC has worked closely with Make-a-Wish in order to fundraise money and grant wishes for children who have faced challenges no child should have to face. For every $5,000 we raise, we are able to grant one of these wishes, and make a child’s dream come true with the trip of their choice. Past events have included our talent shows and trivia nights.

Over the past several years, we have had the opportunity to host numerous wish reveals which allowed us to reveal the one true wish of some special individuals. We were fortunate enough to host a reveals in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. To see an example of a wish reveal please click here.

Sadly, because of COVID-19 this year, we have been primarily remote as an organization and have not been able to hold these events to fundraise money. On (Insert date) please follow Ville_SAAC on Instagram for team videos of Make-A-Wish has impacted our student-athletes

We started this fundraiser to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. Community engagement is a core value of NCAA Division II, and the passion for giving back runs deep for our student-athletes. That’s why we support Make-A-Wish® to help grant wishes to children with critical illnesses. Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. They wish to work in a pickle factory, become a superhero, go snorkeling, give their baseball team new uniforms, and push all of the buttons in a tall building's elevator. Their innocence and unexpected wisdom stays with you.

A wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle their critical illnesses. For many, the wish marks a turning point in the fight against their illnesses. Doctors, nurses and other health professionals say, the wish experience works in concert with medicine to make their patients feel better emotionally and even physically. That is why wishes matter.
