Unlike most girls her age, Deonna is fighting a brain tumor. On her hardest days, she turns to music to lift her spirits.
Deonna's one true wish was to have an electric guitar in her favorite color, blue. So when a blue Fender Stratocaster arrived on her doorstep from Make-A-Wish@reg;, a light of hope and joy instantly flickered in Deonna's eyes. She hasn't put down her guitar ever since.
"I know that my wish for this guitar is a stepping stone to something greater in the future," she said, as she hopes to one day become a music producer.

"When he got diagnosed with leukemia, we couldn't let him play at the public parks with all the germs," said Parker's mom, Chelci. "Now, any time Parker wants to play at the park, we can just take him outside to the backyard."
