“When life gives you mountains, put your boots on and hike.”
I am excited for this to be my first year taking on the Trailblaze Challenge! In addition to the physical challenge of hiking 28 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail in one day, I have committed myself to raising money for Make-A-Wish to help grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. With your help these kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. They wish to work in a pickle factory, become a superhero, go snorkeling, give their baseball team new uniforms, and push all of the buttons in a tall building's elevator. Their innocence and unexpected wisdom stays with you.
This past year I spent time volunteering with the Physical Therapy team at the local Children’s Hospital. The strength these kids and their families tap into on a daily basis took my breath away. I learned to say, “Focus on what you can do, not what you can’t. Small steps turn into miles.” So, with my small steps I want to help make these kid's dreams and wishes come true. And with your help, it’s possible.
Please help me support this great cause by helping me hit my Trailblaze Challenge fundraising goal or by joining me on the trail as a teammate. Thank you for your support!
All my love,
