For the next 5 months, Cory and I will participate in training hikes and incorporate cross-training into our every day routine. Along the way, we will actively be fundraising $5,000, which is HALF the cost of a single wish in San Diego. I have seen first hand how a wish transforms the lives of children, their families, volunteers, supporters, medical professionals and entire communities.
What’s more, for children who are battling a critical illness, a wish can give them and their loves ones the chance to believe anything is possible. Research like the Dr. Patel Wish Impact Study can inspire doctors to use a wish as part of their treatment plans for patients, because wishes can give their patients hope, build compliance with care and potentially give their patients a better chance at reducing time spend in the hospital. I invite you to learn more about Dr Patel’s study by visiting wish.org/impact
Wish kids are brave, resilient, and strong. Their strength inspires me to step outside of my comfort zone and take on this challenge! Please help me support this great cause by joining me on the trail or helping me hit my Trailblaze Challenge fundraising goal.
