Last year my wife Kristen hiked 28 miles in one day on the Pacific Crest Trail for the Make-A-Wish Foundation Trailblaze Challenge. Many of you contributed to this event and ultimately, Kristen and her hiking teammates raised enough money (after fixed costs), to grant 45 wishes!
This year, on May 18th I will be joining her for the 2019 Trailblaze Challenge in an effort to fund even more wishes. I hope you will join us through your support and donations. Once again, the hike will cover 28 miles in one day on the Pacific Crest Trail near Big Bear Lake, California.
We started training for the hike in January and blisters-be-damned, we look forward to the physical challenge and mental grind that May 18th will present. This however, pales in in comparison to what the wish children face in their journey. The more money we raise, the more impact we can have by expanding the number of wish recipients. Today, the San Diego Make-A-Wish Foundation is able to fund about 50% of eligible kids. Let's increase that number!
If you have already donated through Kristen's link or you have already committed funding to other causes or, now is just not the right time for you, thank you for reading this far and, please keep us in mind on Saturday, May 18th!
If you would like to contribute to this great cause, please follow the link and contribute big or small - every dollar counts!
Thank you for your support!
