Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. They've become Batman fighting crime in a metropolis for a day; they've given their baseball team new uniforms; they've created parks for their communities; created cartoons to raise awareness of their disease; they've asked to meet and have met Roger Federer and the first responders on the ground on 9/11. Their wishes can be small or large, but their innocence and unexpected wisdom stays with you. The one thing all wishes granted have in common is that kid for that day is not defined by their illness. Plus, their families get a reprieve with their child steeped in sheer joy.
Make-A-Wish grants thousands of unique wishes each year--to only 50% of eligible kids. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief, and renewal a wish can bring.
