Why This Is Important To Us

For 13 years, YOU and Masha have raised over $130,000 for Make A Wish through the Long Beach Polar Bear Splash, THE BEST MORNING OF THE YEAR!!! Each year she asks local merchants for donations to raffle off at a fundraiser at our home. In 2020, Masha literally wheeled herself out of the ICU at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) raced home after having an open lung biopsy the day before, just to get home in time for this party.  You didn't disappoint and that year raised almost $20,000!!! Soon after, Masha received the results of her lung biopsy....her condition was terminal without a lung transplant. She was immediately placed on the lung transplant list and last year, while on 2 lung transplant lists, she raised $38,000!!!!!

In May Masha received the life saving gift of a double lung transplant.  She is committed to continuing to raise money for children with life threatening illnesses however she is still recovering from her double lung transplant and needs your help more than ever.

Please join us at our fundraiser on February 12, 2023 at 9AM-NOON at BRIGHT EYE BEER CO on Park Ave in Long Beach.  If you have ever joined us you know that each year the party gets larger and larger but our house remains the same size.  After our last house party, Luke Heneghan, who has been brewing beer for our party for many years, offered to host the party his new space at Bright Eye Beer Co.We are very proud to partner with Luke, Molly, and Kiera for a second year at BRIGHT EYE BEER CO!!!  We will be advance selling admission and raffle tickets for all the fabulous baskets you have come to expect.  Music and Food will be included with admission and beer will be for purchase at the bar.

Make-A-Wish grants thousands of unique wishes each year. A lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of eligible kids. We are fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.

This only happens because of generous donations from family, friends and the community.
