I am excited to be participating in the Brave the Bay. I am committed to raising money for Make-A-Wish to help grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. With your help, it’s possible.
My life has been directly impacted by Make-A-Wish as a sibling of wish recipient. My brother, Eric Maddex, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia when he was 14 months-old and battled the disease for 5 years. During that time, our family was fortunate to receive the gift of trip to Disney World via Make-A-Wish. Eric unfortunately lost his battle with leukemia, but to this day, I keep a scrapbook filled with memories from that trip and have remained involved with Make-A-Wish as a wish grantor and member of a Young Professional Advisory Council.
Make-A-Wish grants thousands of unique wishes each year. A lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of eligible kids. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
Please help me support this great cause by joining me or making a donation to my Brave the Bay fundraising goal. Thank you for your support!
