Despite her joyful disposition, Maelin-Kate battles a blood disorder that requires many intensive treatments. When she learned she would be granted a wish, she knew she wanted to have a cuddly furry friend for comfort and love.

When her wish day arrived and she finally saw her goldendoodle puppy for the first time, she leaped into the air with pure joy. "Seeing the happiness in my daughter’s eyes was amazing it was pure excitement and love," said Megan, Maelin-Kate’s mom. "Our puppy is everything that we dreamed that she would be and probably a lot more. She means the world to Mae."
